Job summary

Chinatown Community Development Center seeks a part-time Desk Clerk to maintain safety in the building for tenants and visitors in partnership with staff and law enforcement. The role requires alert, professional communication and timely reporting of issues.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused front desk presence and professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly with tenants, staff and visitors.
• Comfort handling multiple tasks in a security-oriented environment.
• Experience with basic office software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Sign in all visitors who enter and leave building.
• Monitor exits via surveillance and foot patrol during shift.
• Update daily log with detailed information.
• Report house rules violations to the Property Manager.
• Call 911 or non-emergency police per protocol when needed.
• Write incident reports and route to proper staff per protocol.
• Respond to emergencies when onsite leaders are unavailable.
• Maintain order at the front entrance and lobby.
