Job summary

Hotel Indigo - Vancouver Dwtn. seeks a Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk operations from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including guest registrations, reservations, and daily report preparation.

The role balances transactions, performs security walks, and ensures accurate end-of-day procedures. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a hotel or related field, strong problem-solving skills, and basic accounting knowledge.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in a hotel or related field (1+ year)
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• College coursework in related field helpful
• Prior supervisory responsibility preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong problem-solving and guest issue resolution abilities
• Proficient in Windows OS and standard office software
• Clear communication of information and ideas
• Ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately
• Calm and effective under pressure
• Ability to handle financial information and basic arithmetic
• Self-management in a shifting overnight role

Responsibilities

• Register guests and take reservations.
• Prepare and balance daily Night Audit reports.
• Balance transactions and close out daily revenue.
• Maintain front desk operations during overnight shift (11pm–7am).
• Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and staff.
• Ensure security checks and nightly walk-throughs.
• Distribute daily revenue and reports to appropriate departments.
• Train new Night Auditors as needed.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
