Job summary

My Place Hotel Huntersville is seeking a dependable Night Auditor/Overnight Front Desk Associate for the 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shift. The role involves guest check-ins/outs, nightly audits, and maintaining a clean, welcoming overnight environment.

Flexibility to work three to four overnight shifts per week and on weekends/holidays is required. Responsibilities include handling payments, documenting shifts, and ensuring accuracy of daily reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills and clear verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn the hotel's property management system.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to handle payments and review financial records.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and stay awake during overnight shifts.
• Dependable attendance and flexibility with scheduled workdays.

Responsibilities

• Guest service and front desk operations: check-ins/outs, reservations, calls, guest questions, and refer issues to management.
• Night audit and financial accuracy: complete nightly audit, verify charges, reconcile cash/credit, prepare daily reports.
• Payment handling and recordkeeping: process payments, balance drawer, maintain records, protect guest data.
• Overnight safety and security: conduct property checks, monitor entrances, follow safety procedures, report hazards.
• Cleaning and upkeep: keep lobby and public areas clean and stocked, prepare coffee.
• Laundry and housekeeping support: handle linens, assist with guest rooms as needed.
• Shift communication: document concerns and provide thorough handover to morning shift.
• Hotel knowledge and teamwork: know policies, rates, loyalty programs, and services.
