Job summary

My Place Hotels – Portland, OR is seeking a dependable Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk operations and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests. The role combines guest service, overnight financial reconciliation, and property monitoring.

You will be the primary hotel contact during overnight hours, performing the Night Audit, handling folios and cash, and assisting guests with late check-ins and inquiries. Training provided for those new to front desk work.

• Strong attention to detail, especially with cash and financial records.
• Ability to work independently and manage overnight responsibilities.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and consistent performance.
• Previous front desk or night audit experience is helpful but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve as overnight front desk representative, assisting guests with late check-ins, early departures, reservations, and inquiries.
• Process guest folios including room charges, taxes, store purchases, and pet fees per policy.
• Complete nightly audit procedures and maintain audit records and logs.
• Maintain and update Front Desk Log and review notes from prior shifts.
• Provide guests with information about amenities, room types, and local attractions.
• Operate the phone system, wake-up calls, and document confirmations/cancellations.
• Perform laundry and light cleaning; keep lobby areas clean and stocked.
• Conduct routine safety/security walkthroughs and report concerns.
• Deliver items to guests and assist with overnight operational tasks.
