Job summary

Middletown Hotel Management is seeking a detail-oriented Night Auditor to join the Front Office team for overnight hours. You will perform daily audits, ensure accurate financial reporting, and deliver exceptional guest service while balancing hospitality with precision.

This role requires prior front desk or hotel experience, strong accounting aptitude, and the ability to work independently overnight in a fast-paced environment. ONQ PMS knowledge is a plus; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience with front desk or hotel operations preferred.
• Familiarity with ONQ or similar property management system is a plus.
• Strong accounting aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier loads with team support.
• Ability to work independently overnight in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of the ONQ PMS and assist with reservations.
• Adhere to accounting and cash-handling procedures.
• Manage guest requests and delegate tasks to appropriate departments.
• Serve as PBX Operator and utilize the switchboard and other communication devices.
• Answer inquiries in a friendly, courteous, and clear manner.
• Handle and resolve guest complaints, exceeding guest expectations.
• Perform daily audits including reviewing room and tax postings, balancing totals, completing reports, and PMS backup/rebuild.
• Inform management of any unusual activity during the shift.
• Assist with shipping and receiving in a timely manner.
• Assist guests with luggage when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk area.
