BASIC FUNCTION: The Overnight Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor will ensure that all daily transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with set policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Basic functions of a Front Desk Agent such as checking guests in and out of their guest rooms, answering guest questions in person and over the phone, selling bakery and gift shop items, making new reservations for guests, and providing further services to guests.
  2. Work with other Night Auditors to ensure accurate and timely recording of daily Night Audit tasks, completing shift checklists in an efficient manner.
  3. Completes Night Audit Procedures including closing credit card batches and Package postings.
  4. Ensure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner and that all accounting reports are filed away properly.
  5. Notify proper outlets when discrepancies arise. Follow up with the Front Office Manager and document situations.
  6. Perform all activities in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
  7. Supervises and oversees night security and responds to any security problems.
  8. Interact with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  9. Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Resort policies.
  10. Communicate all pertinent information to the Front Office team.
  11. Follow set procedures on posting cash, checks, and refunds.
  12. In the absence of Manager or Supervisor, take lead on all guest incidents.
  13. Solicit guest feedback and resolve minor complaints.
  14. Prepare lobby beverage service prior to early morning departures.
  15. Assist with shuttle transportation to/from the Airport.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Assistant Controller, Night Audit Supervisor and Income Auditor.
  2. In the absence of Night Audit Supervisor, be responsible for all aspects of the nightly audit functions.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Hotel Front Desk or Night Audit Experience preferred, Customer Service Experience required.
  3. Experience with Stayntouch Property Management System, Toast Point of Sale, and Book4Time Point of Sale preferred.
  4. Knowledge of Toast & SpaSoft POS systems and procedures to process nightly reports, backups, etc.
  5. Basic PC skills & knowledge of Excel.
