Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to maintain shelves and ensure product availability. You will stock shelves, move products from pallets to correct locations, and pull backstock while keeping backrooms neat and safe.

You'll collaborate with leadership to meet deadlines, assist customers, and participate in overnight preparations. This role fits those who value teamwork, organization, and a hands-on approach to store readiness.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in backroom areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your workensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

What You Bring

• You're comfortable learning and using basic technology

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
