Job summary

Ecowize North America is seeking a Sanitation Technician to lead frontline cleaning and sanitization in food production facilities. You will work as part of a team to remove debris, sanitize machinery, and prepare plants to meet USDA, FDA, and customer standards.

This is a physical role requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Reports to a Site Manager with opportunities for overtime and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must prioritize safety and quality in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• No prior sanitation experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Overnight shifts, weekends and holidays may be required; reliability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment, floors, walls, and work areas in assigned plant sections.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow usage guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and areas to ensure readiness for pre-op inspections.
• Follow safety protocols including Lock Out/Tag Out, PPE, and chemical handling.
• Maintain open communication with teammates and supervisors.
• Support team members and assist with additional duties as needed.
