Job summary

Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is seeking a compassionate Family Services Coordinator to oversee front desk operations and support families overnight and morning. You will help maintain the facility, coordinate volunteer activities, and respond to day-to-day needs with hospitality.

The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, communicates effectively, and works well with staff, volunteers, and families to ensure a safe, welcoming environment during challenging times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• Customer service, hospitality, healthcare, nonprofit, or family services experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist families with warmth, compassion, and professionalism.
• Explain House policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
• Provide support and assistance to families throughout their stay.
• Communicate family concerns to the Senior Family Services Manager or COO as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate shift notes and communicate information to incoming staff.
• Ensure front desk coverage during shift and coordinate smooth transitions with staff, security and volunteers.
