Associated Grocers, Inc. in Baton Rouge is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician I & II to maintain, repair, and install facility infrastructure across the distribution center, offices, and campus.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safe, reliable operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-safety systems. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of general repair experience; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–3 years general repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose, repair, and service pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, generators, welders, and air compressors.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems (drains, faucets, valves).
• Repair electrical fixtures under 480V and related components.
• Read and understand equipment schematics to perform repairs.
• Operate heavy facility equipment (tuggers, pallet jacks).
• Use work order system to track requests, create and close work orders, and document parts and labor.
