Job summary

Denver Animal Emergency, a BluePearl Veterinary Partner, seeks experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department in Denver. This overnight position offers a competitive shift differential and opportunities to advance through our competency levels.

You will work with a team of skilled veterinary professionals and provide anesthesia induction/monitoring, triage, radiography, and mentorship to colleagues while delivering compassionate patient and client care.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technicians in emergency/critical care.
• Proficient in anesthesia monitoring and phlebotomy.
• Ability to triage and monitor vitals.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia; use anesthesia and monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other co-workers.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
