BluePearl Pet Hospital in downtown Manhattan, NY seeks a licensed veterinary technician for overnight Emergency + Critical Care. You will triage emergencies, support ICU patients, and assist with anesthesia, radiography, and patient monitoring.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing with NY state.
• Experience in emergency/critical care is preferred.
• Ability to work overnight weekend shifts with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases and follow through from ER to ICU admission.
• Perform anesthesia for minor procedures with sedation and monitoring.
• Acquire and interpret digital radiographs; apply restraint and positioning.
• Monitor vitals and identify patients at risk of arrest.
• Opportunity to be certified in BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR free of charge.
• Accurately calculate medical dosages and administer medications.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Learn to place feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train coworkers; address client concerns with empathy.
• Fulfill additional duties as needed.
