BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking an experienced Part-time Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team. The role emphasizes anesthesia, triage, radiography, monitoring and client communication.

You will work with a team of veterinary professionals, receive mentorship, continuing education opportunities, and a robust wellness program. This position offers flexible overnight scheduling and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Assess vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and perform phlebotomy.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
