Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA seeks a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Emergency team. The role runs Thurs–Sat, 7pm–7am, with a pay band of $22.15–$44.00 per hour plus shift differentials.

Credentialed VTS candidates may receive compensation commensurate with experience. We offer style shift differentials for nights and weekends and opportunities for mentorship, advancement through competency assessment, and a range of benefits as part of Mars Veterinary

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA is hiring for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Emergency team!

Schedule

Thurs–Sat, 7pm–7am

Pay

$22.15 – $44.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat – Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat – Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
