Job summary

VESH Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Western Massachusetts is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our team. This full-time role offers a starting salary of $180,000 to $200,000 plus tiered production bonuses and sign-on/relocation incentives, with an additional sign-on bonus for an overnight-only commitment.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and eligibility for state licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or 2+ years of ER experience preferred.
• Confident in managing emergency cases in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication with clients and team.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care including triage and hospital care.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients.
• Regularly perform soft tissue emergency surgeries; additional training available.
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and staff for seamless care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners.
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on mentorship and learning.
