Job summary

VESH is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our Western Massachusetts team. The role features three 12-hour shifts per week, with a starting salary of $160,000 to $180,000 plus a tiered production bonus, and a sign-on bonus with relocation support.

Choose your primary hospital between South Deerfield and West Springfield, working within a collaborative specialty network that includes internal medicine, surgery, and other services.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or 2+ years' experience in emergency medicine preferred.
• Excellent communication and client-care skills.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care and stabilize critically ill patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and soft tissue surgeries as needed.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff for seamless care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners in stressful situations.
