Job summary

ACCESS San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced ER Veterinary Technician for overnight shifts in Los Angeles, CA. You will perform rounds, administer medications, assist in anesthesia and imaging, and provide high-level patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician preferred
• 2-3 years of clinical experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited program preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Give accurate and detailed patient rounds.
• Admit and discharge a patient from the telemetry system.
• Administer oral medications to a dog or cat and manage IV medications.
• Set up and place IV catheters in dogs and cats and monitor patency.
• Perform nursing care and ensure patient comfort and cleanliness.
• Measure and calculate medications and IV fluids; prepare radiographs and ultrasound-related tasks.
