Job summary

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals in Los Angeles is seeking an Overnight ER Veterinary Technician to join our emergency team. The role includes patient rounds, telemetry admissions/discharges, and in-house lab testing with a focus on high‑level critical care.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
• 2–3 years of clinical experience.
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Give accurate and detailed patient rounds.
• Admit and discharge a patient from the telemetry system.
• Administer oral medications and IV medications.
• Set up IV catheter placements in dogs and cats.
• Perform in-house lab tests on Idexx Procyte, Catalyst, Coag, Siemens Blood Gas Machine, Abaxus i-Stat, UA Analyzer, Sedivue.
• Operate anesthesia machines and monitor patients.
