Job summary

Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence, MA is seeking a part-time Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician for overnights to join our team. You will triage, monitor anesthesia, assist with diagnostics, and support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers weekend shifts, a $26–$32/hour base with a $5/hour differential for overnight hours, plus benefits such as CE support, 401(k), and pet discounts, within a collaborative specialty hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred, but not required.
• Strong anesthesia and patient monitoring skills.
• Emergency or critical care experience preferred.
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency patients and support the intake process.
• Guide clients through their pet’s treatment and care plan.
• Collaborate with DVMs on diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery care.
• Place IV catheters and collect laboratory samples.
• Assist with radiographs, imaging, surgeries, and emergency procedures.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Deliver exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced emergency setting.
