Animal Emergency of South Orange County (AESOC), part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, seeks a full-time Veterinary Technician for overnight emergency coverage in Mission Viejo, CA. You will work with veterinarians and licensed technicians to deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to hospitalized and emergency patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of veterinary experience and an active California RVT license, with strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of veterinary experience
• Active Registered Veterinary Technician license in California
• Emergency or specialty hospital experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and licensed technicians in emergency and critical care
• Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients and communicate changes
• Assist with triage, stabilization, and procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communication
• Safely restrain patients per Fear Free practices
• Prepare treatment, surgery, and diagnostic areas
• Perform lab procedures and collect samples as directed
• Administer medications per hospital protocols
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates for patient care
• Participate in competency-based training and professional development
