Veterinary Healthcare Associates (VHA) is seeking a highly skilled Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) to join our OVERNIGHT Emergency & Critical Care team. This role is designed for technicians who thrive in high-acuity medicine, think critically under pressure, and want to use advanced nursing skills to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

At VHA, Emergency, Critical Care, Specialty Services, and General Practice come together on one integrated campus.

Qualifications

• Current CVT, RVT, or LVT credential in good standing preferred.
• Minimum 3 years veterinary technician experience in emergency/ICU.
• Advanced proficiency in triage, stabilization, and critical care nursing.
• Strong anesthesia monitoring, pain management, and patient recovery skills.
• Willingness to work OVERNIGHT.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency patients and recognize condition changes requiring intervention.
• Provide advanced nursing care for emergency, hospitalized, and critically ill patients.
• Administer medications, injections, fluid therapy, and prescribed treatments.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and lab tests.
• Support emergency stabilization, resuscitation, and critical care interventions.
• Monitor anesthesia preparation, monitoring, recovery, and pain assessment.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs and support advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate changes to the veterinary team and participate in rounds.
• Educate clients on emergency plans, hospitalization, medications, and discharge care.
