Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our Overnight ER/ICU team. Prior veterinary assistant experience required. Schedule: 3x12 or 4x10s, with hourly pay between $23.60 and $32.80.

You will assist with nursing care, monitor patients, administer medications under supervision, perform radiography and laboratory tasks, and support clients with discharge instructions. We offer comprehensive benefits and career growth within Mars Veterinary Health.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Perform physical assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Understand medication classifications and monitor responses.
• Administer medications under supervision of LVT.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including radiography and labs.
• Follow CPR guidelines and assist in CPR roles.
• Assist with client triage, estimates, and discharge instructions.
• Stock and maintain hospital areas for a safe environment.
