Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is looking for a Veterinary Technician – Equine Inpatient to provide comprehensive patient care for equine patients at Auburn University. This position involves direct contact with animals and requires night and weekend availability.

The ideal candidate should have an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field, along with an active state license or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire. In this role, you will instruct veterinary students and assist clinicians.

Qualifications

• Active license with the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Technician.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including physical exams and medication administration.
• Instruct veterinary students in various aspects of patient care.
• Assist clinicians with diagnostic procedures of equine cases.
