Job summary

EmergencyMD Orlando is seeking an Engineering Technician III Overnight to ensure safe, efficient operation of hotel systems during overnight hours. Troubleshoot, repair, and monitor building systems to support guest safety and satisfaction.

The role requires 2–3 years in a hotel or related industry, knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must handle ladders and heavy materials and be able to operate a vehicle.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a hotel or related industry.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
• Knowledge of hotel fire standards and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with ladders, under equipment, and handling awkward materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment in accordance with company standards and codes.
• Monitor building systems overnight to ensure optimal performance and address issues promptly.
• Respond quickly to guest service requests and maintenance emergencies.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Maintain logs of work performed, system performance, and incidents during shift.
• Repair hotel guest rooms under the Preventive Maintenance program.
• Report broken or misused equipment to Engineering Manager or Director.
• Ensure safety systems are operable and follow safety regulations.
• Assist in maintaining department inventory and reporting needed supplies.
