Job summary

MedVet in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Doctor Coordinator - Overnights to support our ER team. Work schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 9pm-7am; compensation range is $18.50-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will collaborate with doctors, help manage workflow, schedule diagnostics, prepare medical records, and communicate with clients and referral partners. A fast-paced environment with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Emergency experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports specific doctor(s) for a given shift.
• Ensures follow through of departmental workflow for the supported doctor(s).
• Collaborates on scheduling of consults, transfers, and diagnostics.
• Delegates team responsibilities as appropriate to team members (rounding cases, planning and managing diagnostic scheduling and information).
• Acts as point of contact for referral partner transfers/inquiries if doctor is unavailable.
• Provides departmental client communication for cases (questions, care plan discussions, etc.).
• Drafts medical record documentation for supported doctor(s); creates initial patient history and treatment orders.
• Monitors emails and voicemails for doctor(s).
• Assists with outpatient procedures as required by doctor(s).
