Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Vienna, VA seeks an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Overnight) to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including cleaning, feeding, restraining patients, and assisting with surgeries and clerical work.

The role requires 3-5 years of veterinary medicine experience and ER/urgent care exposure. Three 12-hour overnight shifts per week are offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of veterinary medicine experience.
• Experience in Emergency (ER), Urgent Care, or Specialty settings preferred.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners and take weight and vital signs.
• Triage, perform physical exams, administer medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients; assist doctors with medications and restraints.
• Perform lab tests and radiographs; maintain equipment and records.
