Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Cascade Veterinary Referral Center in Tigard, OR is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Overnight Shift) to support veterinarians and technicians with patient care, equipment handling, and clinical tasks during night hours.

The role requires compassionate care, ability to triage, assist with medications, maintain records, and ensure safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced, patient-focused hospital.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 Year of Veterinary Assistant Experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs
• Triage patients, assist with exams and medications as directed by licensed staff
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint
• Perform laboratory tests and radiographs
• Maintain medical records and hospital cleanliness
• Show up for the overnight shift and contribute to a collaborative team
