BluePearl Pet Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant with strong phlebotomy experience to join our overnight emergency team.

Schedule: 3x12s with rotating weekends. Pay: $16.50 - $25.30/hour + competitive shift differentials; examples include +$3.00/hr for evenings and +$4.50/hr for certain weekend hours. Responsibilities include triage, phlebotomy, radiographs, lab work, nursing care, and assisting DVMs with estimates and client communication.

Qualifications

Phlebotomy experience required in a veterinary setting.
Ability to triage emergency cases and provide nursing care.
Familiarity with radiographs and basic lab work.
Strong communication with veterinarians and clients.

Responsibilities

Triage emergency cases as they arrive.
Perform radiographs and laboratory work.
Provide nursing care in accordance with hospital standards.
Conduct physical exams and monitor vital signs.
Perform phlebotomy and administer medications.
Assist DVMs with anesthesia, estimates, and client communication.
Manage ICU/inpatient patients and help discharge planning.
