Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Framingham, MA is seeking a skilled, compassionate part-time veterinary technician for the Overnight Emergency team. Pay ranges from $24.25 to $49.00 per hour, with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends.

VTS credentialing may adjust compensation accordingly. Responsibilities include anesthesia management, emergency triage, radiography, vital signs monitoring, CPR readiness, phlebotomy, and IV catheter placement.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in emergency or critical care settings is a plus.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and handle high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and manage monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies, record vitals and communicate changes to the Veterinarian.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Monitor patient vitals, alert clinicians to abnormalities, and assist during procedures.
• Collaborate with team to mentor and train colleagues.
• Provide compassionate client communication and address concerns.
