Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking experienced Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technicians for Wednesday–Friday 6:00pm–6:00am shifts. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $41.00 per hour, with starting point based on experience and progression through our leveling system.

The role includes performing physical exams, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, medication administration and client communication while collaborating with ER doctors and specialists to care for critically ill or injured pets.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technicians in emergency settings.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical exams and monitors vital signs.
• Performs phlebotomy and places peripheral IV catheters.
• Administers medications and prepares patients for discharge with instructions.
• Monitors patient status and alerts veterinarian if abnormalities arise.
• Communicates with clients about care and discharge instructions.
• Maintains aseptic technique and supports nursing care for stable patients.
