Job summary

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced night team. You’ll support triage, stabilization, diagnostics, treatments, monitoring, and ongoing patient care throughout the night.

The successful candidate has 3–5 years of Emergency/ICU experience, strong teamwork, calm decision-making under pressure, and the ability to work independently overnight.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Emergency, ICU, Urgent Care, or Specialty Veterinary experience
• Strong triage, patient assessment, and emergency nursing skills
• Ability to work overnight and independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, compassionate care to emergency patients overnight from triage to discharge
• Perform emergency triage and patient assessment, stabilization, diagnostics, treatments, monitoring
• Place IV catheters, collect diagnostic samples, administer medications and fluids
• Assist with emergency procedures and surgeries; monitor anesthesia and perioperative care
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure smooth shift-to-shift handoffs
