Job summary

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our growing hospital. You will stabilize patients, support specialty procedures, and deliver exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

This is not an entry-level position; you’ll work alongside boarded specialists and a skilled team to manage critically ill patients and complex cases, with opportunities for professional growth and continuing

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of Emergency, ICU, or Specialty Veterinary Medicine experience.
• Licensed, Registered, or Certified Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with drug calculations, CRIs, anesthesia, and emergency nursing.

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize emergency patients.
• Monitor critically ill and ICU patients.
• Assist with emergency and specialty surgical procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia using ECG, capnography, pulse oximetry, Doppler, invasive blood pressure, and advanced equipment.
• Perform in-house laboratory diagnostics and assist with imaging and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with Veterinarians, specialists, and fellow technicians.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
