Job summary

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. This full-time, overnight role requires 3–5 years of Emergency/ICU experience and involves triage, stabilization, and critical care through discharge or transfer.

You will work with a team of experienced veterinarians and technicians, performing hands-on emergency nursing, monitoring, and procedures in a fast-paced setting from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Emergency, ICU, Urgent Care, or Specialty veterinary experience.
• Strong triage and patient assessment skills.
• Proficiency with drug calculations, IV access, diagnostics, and anesthesia support.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency triage and patient assessment.
• Stabilize and monitor trauma, respiratory distress, seizures, and other urgent conditions.
• Place IV catheters and collect diagnostic samples.
• Administer medications, fluids, and CRIs.
• Assist with RECOVER CPR and emergency resuscitation.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Monitor anesthesia with ECG, pulse oximetry, and vital signs.
