Job summary

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our busy specialty hospital. You will provide hands-on nursing care for critically ill patients, monitor patients with advanced equipment, and collaborate with a team of Board-Certified Criticalists and emergency clinicians.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Emergency, ICU, Urgent Care or Specialty Veterinary experience required.
• Strong triage, patient assessment, and emergency nursing skills.
• Proficiency with drug calculations, CRIs, anesthesia, IV catheter placement, and diagnostics.
• Experience caring for hospitalized or high-acuity patients; ability to work overnight.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous monitoring and nursing care for critically ill and hospitalized patients.
• Administer medications, CRIs, fluids, blood products, and other prescribed therapies.
• Manage IV catheters, fluids, urinary catheters, drains, and other care needs.
• Perform frequent reassessments and communicate changes to the team.
• Maintain detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
