Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Vienna, VA seeks an Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Overnight) to support veterinarians and technicians. You will handle patient care, triage, treatment assistance, and radiography, while helping with animal restraint and daily procedures.

Join a 24/7 hospital with board-certified specialists across oncology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, surgery, and neurology.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of veterinary medicine experience.
• Experience in Emergency (ER), Urgent Care, or Specialty settings preferred.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, weigh patients and take vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, perform exams, treatments and administer medications as directed.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients; assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Perform laboratory tests and radiographs; operate and maintain hospital equipment.
