Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Cascade Veterinary Referral Center in Tigard, OR is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant for overnight shifts (12 hours, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM). The role supports veterinarians and technicians, assists with procedures, and ensures compassionate care for all patients.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 Year of Veterinary Assistant Experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, weigh and record vitals upon arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with exams, treatments, and medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment and maintain records.
