Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Wilkes-Barre, PA, is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical components of production and facility equipment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. You will help ensure safety, food quality, and continuous operation while supporting continuous improvement and reliability across equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications with 2+ years of experience or education.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires working at heights above ground level.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for manufacturing productivity and product quality via the maintenance department.
• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, PLCs).
• Repair various types of facility equipment (pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC).
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment.
• Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventive maintenance.
• Completes installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.
