Job summary

Lowe is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs. The role covers personal care, homemaking, health monitoring, and community integration, with responsibilities aligned to each client’s ISP/POC.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a CNA license, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification, plus CPI. Weekend availability and a valid Georgia driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience with individuals with dual diagnosis.
• CNA license required to perform personal care tasks.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• Must pass criminal background checks (local and Cogent) and TB screening annually.
• CPI certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide support with medication administration and health monitoring.
• Assist in nutrition, meal preparation, and feeding when necessary.
• Help individuals develop daily living skills and promote independence according to their Service Plan (ISP/POC).
• Provide positive behavioral support and communication assistance.
• Participate in activities within the home and community as outlined in individual care plans.
