Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our residential team for a Sun–Wed 9:00pm–9:00am shift in Fairfax, VA. You will empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Prior disability services experience is a plus, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with driving history requirements: at least 3 years unsuspended history with ≤3 points or 2 years unsuspended with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing, and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles require travel and support from Residential to Day programs.
