Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a Thursday–Saturday 9:00am–9:00pm shift in Fairfax, VA. You will empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence within a supportive, team-focused environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with disability services experience preferred. You will lift 50+ lbs, maintain safety, follow care plans, and may travel between Residential and Day programs. Full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and daily living skills
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress
• Administer medications in accordance with policy
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
• Use approved behavior support techniques
• Encourage community engagement and participation
• Some DSP roles will require travel between Residential and Day programs
