Job summary

Minnehaha County Safe Home is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional to work overnight in Sioux Falls, SD. You will provide safety, comfort, and support to residents in a Housing First environment, monitoring access, assisting with meals, and maintaining a secure, clean facility.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in general office or security work, and the ability to think quickly, multitask, and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ at time of hiring.
• Experience in general office or security work is preferred.
• Must complete pre-employment background process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor front desk operations and facility security.
• Screen residents, guests, and prohibited items.
• Respond to emergencies and contact appropriate assistance.
• Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems.
• Assist residents and guests, and coordinate with outside service providers.
• Support meal service operations and keep dining areas clean.
• Enforce facility rules and support program goals.
• Perform routine cleaning in residential and common areas.
• Create and manage resident and staff IDs.
• Supervise resident work assignments and building maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair requests and respond to urgent issues.
