Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a full-time overnight shift in Baltimore, MD. The DSP will provide total care, assist with daily routines, transportation, and medication administration.

The role emphasizes building relationships with adults with IDD, preserving dignity, and working in a trauma-informed environment. Eligible candidates must be 21+, have a valid driver's license, and complete or be willing to complete the Medication Technician Training

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• 1 year DSP or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care with daily routines including hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry, transport to programs, doctor appointments, and medication administration.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking.
• Advocate for rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist people who use wheelchairs and operate agency vehicles as needed.
