Job summary

Citizens Options Unlimited seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide overnight and morning care, including self-care routines, meals, and hygiene for individuals supported. You will assist with medication administration per AMAP policy and transport clients to day programs as needed.

This role requires fingerprint/criminal background checks, a valid NY driver’s license, AMAP status, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Qualified NY Driver's license.
• Successful completion and maintenance of AMAP status.
• Ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives and be a positive team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight and morning support including self-care routines and daily living activities.
• Assist with medication administration according to AMAP policy.
• Accompany or transport people supported to day programs or job locations.
• Document events, goals, notes, and relevant health information in Medisked or paper forms.
• Follow treatment plans and safety policies; report any incidents.
• Support people to start their day positively and promote independence and wellbeing.
