Job summary

The Center is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide consistent support to individuals at our Huntington, NY site. The role includes advocacy, teamwork, and participation in trainings to enhance understanding and assistance for those we support.

A sign-on bonus of $1,000 is offered, with total hourly compensation ranging from $20.00 to $21.50 per hour depending on role and shift. Friday and Saturday 3pm–11pm shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AMAP and SCIP certifications required per policy.
• Able to stand, bend and sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals receive consistent support at the site.
• Advocate for those supported by the program.
• Participate in trainings to better understand and support individuals.
• Work as part of a site team to achieve mutual goals.

This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20/hour and reaching up to $21.50/hour (depending on role & shift).

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
• Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
• Able to sit for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.
