Job summary

Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide overnight supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings in Gaithersburg, MD. This full-time overnight shift runs Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

You will stay awake, monitor safety, assist with personal care, and document shift reports. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, pass background checks, have reliable transportation,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and reference verification.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift, reposition, and assist clients as needed.
• Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight supervision and support to individuals receiving services.
• Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals supported.
• Assist with personal care and other support needs as outlined in individual service plans.
• Monitor individuals and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in conditions.
• Complete accurate overnight documentation and shift reports.
• Follow medication-related procedures, individual care plans, and HHHS policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Communicate important updates to incoming staff and supervisors.
