Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston seeks Awake Overnight Direct Care Staff in Lowell, MA to supervise overnight residents and support parenting skills. Expect hourly bed checks and safe residence oversight during overnight hours, with a 30–40 hour full‑time schedule.

Candidates should have a related degree or equivalent experience, CPR/First Aid, de‑escalation skills, and a MA driver’s license. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, and benefits include a 403(b) plan and generous time off.

Qualifications

• CORI/SORI/DCF background check and fingerprinting.
• Bachelor's degree or an Associate's with 3 years of related experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Ability to work with varied and occasionally difficult client population.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Massachusetts driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight supervision and support to Young Parent families in the program.
• Conduct and document hourly bed checks; maintain logs.
• Transport Young Parents to appointments and local destinations per program policies.
• Support daily living and parenting skills through instruction and guidance.
• Uphold program rules and model respectful behavior.
• Administer and monitor the Medical Management Program as instructed by the RN.
• Ensure safety and well-being by following procedures and reporting issues.
• Maintain professional boundaries and apply de-escalation as needed; follow safety protocols.
• Participate in household chores to maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Attend monthly staff meetings, biweekly supervision, and at least 24 hours of training annually.
