SSC Services for Education is seeking an Overnight Custodial Manager at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. This role oversees cleanliness, sanitation, and security of the buildings and directs janitorial staff to maintain high-quality standards and safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating work activities, inspecting tasks, training and developing supervisors and staff, managing supplies and budgets, and ensuring timely completion of projects within budget.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with prioritization.
• Excellent time management and ability to lead staff.
• Ability to engage and motivate janitorial staff.
• Understanding of budgeting concepts and P&L awareness.

Responsibilities

• Communicates between shifts to ensure task completion.
• Trains workers in janitorial methods and equipment operation.
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Performs daily inspections and follows through on assignments.
• Cross-trains and develops personnel for multiple positions.
• Holds weekly staff reports and inspections.
• Meets with staff weekly to review tasks and projects.
• Secures building after completion of work.
• Guides project completion within budget and schedule.
• Reports budgetary issues.
