Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Custodial Manager to lead overnight custodial operations across a higher education campus, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and appearance of academic buildings, offices, residence halls and athletic facilities.

You will provide leadership, training, scheduling, quality assurance, and operational oversight to a team of custodial employees, ensuring services meet company policies and client expectations while complying with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of custodial/ facilities experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience leading hourly staff.
• Experience scheduling staff and managing productivity.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce management systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel campus facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and supervise a team of custodial staff during overnight operations.
• Manage performance through feedback, coaching, and corrective action.
• Conduct shift meetings, safety briefings, and ongoing training.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retention of custodial staff.
• Promote accountability, safety, and customer service excellence.
• Oversee daily and nightly custodial operations across campus facilities.
• Ensure areas are cleaned and maintained to standards and schedules.
• Monitor staffing and adjust assignments to meet demand.
• Conduct inspections and quality audits to meet service expectations.
• Investigate issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate special projects, events, floor care, and seasonal cleaning.
• Maintain positive relationships with university stakeholders and respond to concerns.
