Job summary

Boys Town in Omaha, NE seeks a Crisis Counselor to provide confidential crisis support via phone, text, or chat. You will deliver short-term counseling with calm, compassionate guidance and help callers access resources. This on-site role requires a strong empathy and the ability to document interactions accurately.

Starting pay is $17.50–$18.50 per hour with full- or part-time options. Shifts are 24/7, with some weekend and holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred for some programs.
• 21+ years old.
• Able to take notes while talking to callers.

Starting Pay: $17.50-$18.50/hr (plus shift differential if applicable)

Full-Time or Part-Time: Both Available

Shifts: This is a 24/7 hotline so shifts may be available throughout the day.

At least one weekend day is required for all counselors. Some holidays will be required as well (at 2x pay).

What You'll Be Doing:

Who We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's preferred; required for some programs)

Physical & Safety Requirements:

• Sedentary office work with standard computer use
• Minimal physical risks in a typical administrative setting
