Job summary

New Narrative is seeking a Coverage Specialist to provide real-time staffing support across Licensed Residential Programs. You will respond to live staffing requests via phone and Microsoft Teams, guiding staff on policies, documentation, and resources.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, support crisis intervention, and help maintain program operations in a manner consistent with Oregon rules and New Narrative standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• QMHA credentials preferred.
• CPR certification preferred; active driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Coverage Support Respond to real-time staffing needs across Licensed Residential programs and report to assigned sites following activation.
• On-Call & Staff Support Serve as a resource to On-Call Residential Support Specialists and Residential Support Specialist staff during scheduled shifts, providing guidance on policies, procedures, documentation, escalation protocols, and available resources.
• Resident Support Actively engage with residents to support movement toward goals using strength-based and person-centered approaches.
• Facility Operations Facilitate fire drills and emergency procedures as assigned or as needed; maintain safety checklists and facility cleanliness.
• Documentation & Operations Complete required documentation accurately and within established timelines; communicate needs to leadership.
